Bruno and Jessica, both 26, flew to London for the first time from Brazil.
Beyoncé has officially landed in London. Last night, the British capital welcomed the pop superstar for the much anticipated “Renaissance” world tour.
We expected an Afrofuturist disco-fueled fantasy, and on the first night of her weeklong residency at north London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (one of the city’s largest stadiums with a capacity of over 60,000) fans showed out in mirror ball cowboy hats, crystal-encrusted corsets and space-age catsuits.
Since its release in 2022, the quadruple Grammy award-winning record has had far-reaching cultural impact, including in fashion. With revered album art that saw Beyoncé in Schiaparelli couture, Alaïa, Mugler and Gucci, as well as her headline-generating stage costumes from the likes of Loewe and Balmain, it’s no wonder fans are taking their concert looks seriously.

Ryan, 30, traveled from the Scottish highlands for the show. It took two hours to bedazzle his beard.
Terry, 33, arrived with his sister (photographed below), dressed in denim looks they designed themselves.
Terry and his sister’s looks were hand-embellished with over 1,000 jewels and stones.
Dahlia, 26, and her brother Terry (pictured above) traveled to London from New York for her birthday.
Queues could wait — fans gathered outside to document their outfits.
Loveitoya, 26, wore animal print to conjure up her own version of Sasha Fierce. “The hair is just me.”
Bic, 38, arrived in a pair of low-slung 2000s-inspired jeans, a metal-mesh halter neck and a flowing honey-blonde wig.
Sylvia, 58, expected an onslaught of silver outfits and “wanted to be different.”
It took eight days for Bradley, 19, to hand-embellish his own cowboy hat. He also bejeweled his matching corset and fan.
Devon-Grace, 35, flew from Savannah, Georgia, for the show and wore an ensemble inspired by Beyoncé’s hometown, Houston, Texas.
Denzel, 24, opted for a mesh glitter top, an embellished headscarf and space-age shades.
Denzel’s look was finished off with a “King” chain.
Dressed in a mixture of official merchandise and metallic fabrics, James, 34, and Jemima, 29, were inspired by space cowboys.
Fans made the most of the sun before the concert began.
Brittany, 36, who traveled from Tampa, Florida, said her outfit made her feel as if she had an alter ego.
Nyasha, 29, went for all-silver accessories.
Lance, 22, wore a cyberpunk metal jaw hinge. “This is my version of minimalism,” he said.

Reyoncé (her birth name) is not 100% sure who she was named after. The 21-year-old paired her DIY silver halter neck top with jeans and chrome sunglasses.
Connor, 26, decided on wide-leg carpenter jeans while Amber, 24, channeled a more ‘90s silver look.
Amber’s handprints referenced the jumpsuit Beyoncé wore at the Stockholm concert earlier this month.
Violet, 32, was inspired by Beyoncé’s confidence. “That’s what I’m doing today, embracing my curves, even if they’re not as voluminous as Beyoncé’s, they’re enough for me!”
Many fans opted for the space-age cowgirl look.
Nicholas, 21, said he replaced the need for a shirt with body paint.

Adebayo, 33, wore an H&M x Mugler corset and sandals — of course — for comfort.
Crowds of fans looked perfectly coordinated in the unofficial black and silver dress code.
Lindsay, 45, and her two daughters-in-law — 24-year-old Louisa (right) and 20-year-old Isabelle (left) — were inspired by other concert-goers’ outfits posted on TikTok.
Kendra, 35, similarly wanted to evoke Beyoncé’s country roots with a statement pair of snakeskin boots.
Her look was finished off with a pair of cartoon-style glasses.
Cleo, 45, works as a drag queen and managed to create a look incorporating some pieces of his show costumes — including this crystal shawl worn under a waistcoat.
Folding hand fans were an essential accessory.
Jollo, 21, said she “wanted to reflect the lights.”
Luco, 26 (left), and Javier, 29 (right), have both loved Beyoncé since they were children.
Victoria, 24, wanted to channel both the “Renaissance” imagery and the 2009 music video for “Telephone.”
Erica and Ryan, both 39, went full disco fantasy with their daring looks.
Lucy, 23, and Wendy, 24, said it was all about staying true to the “Renaissance” album cover with crystals and metallics.
Joshua, 22, wanted to channel the track “Alien Superstar.”
Miguel, 21, had never worn a dress before coming to the concert.
Vibrant costumes and metallic cowboy hats brightened up the stadium.
