Hey there! From CNN, I'm Krista Bo with the five things you need to know for Wednesday, May 8th.

'A Georgia appeals court says it will consider an effort by Donald Trump and his co-defendants to disqualify Fulton County D.A. Fani Willis from the state's election subversion case. Remember, the defendants claim that Willis financially benefited from her romantic relationship with the former lead prosecutor, Nathan Wade, a claim Willis denies. Back in March, the judge on the case found there wasn't enough evidence to prove that. But to avoid any conflicts of interest, Wade had to resign for Willis to stay on the case. Now, a court of appeals is going to take another look – a move Trump's lawyers said they look forward to, and Willis office declined to comment on. There is another delay in another trial Trump faces that makes it more likely that the criminal hush money trial in New York will be the only one the former president will face before November's election. Yesterday, a federal judge in Florida indefinitely postponed Trump's trial on mishandling classified documents at his Mar a Lago estate. And adult film star, Stormy Daniels, will continue to be cross-examined tomorrow in his New York hush money trial.

The Biden administration is rushing to complete a report about whether Israel violated international humanitarian law while using U.S. weaponry during its war in Gaza. It's due before Congress today, but sources on Capitol Hill tell CNN lawmakers expect it'll be slightly delayed. The report has caused deep divisions inside the State Department because some offices have expressed doubt over Israel's assurances they've acted lawfully. The report would come at a pivotal moment in the war, as CNN's Faiz Jamil explains.

So, Krista, a ceasefire and hostage release agreement between Israel and Hamas is stalling right now, and Israel appears to be on the edge of a full scale ground invasion in Rafah. A U.S. official is saying that the Biden administration has paused a shipment of bomb, say Israel, over concerns that the country might use them in Rafah. Israel has said its goals there are to get the hostages back and, quote, eliminate Hamas for its terror attack on October 7th. But the U.S. and other countries have made clear they're concerned about the civilian casualties such an operation would bring.

'Numerous women have shared stories on social media of surprise pregnancies while taking medications approved for weight loss, like Ozempic and Mounjaro. And there are still a lot of unknowns about so-called Ozempic babies. CNN's Meg Terrell explains.

So, Krista, scientists say there are a couple reasons potentially behind this. One is that weight loss is known to potentially help with fertility, especially if someone is having abnormal menstrual cycles because of a condition known as PCOS or other reasons. And a second thing to be aware of is that terms peptide based drugs those are found Mounjaro and Zepbound actually have a warning that they may make oral birth control less effective. Now, these drugs haven't been studied in pregnancy, but studies in animals suggest there is reason to be cautious. So doctors recommend stopping the drugs two months before trying to conceive, or immediately if you become pregnant.

FTX says nearly all of its investors could get all their money back from the failed crypto exchange, with interest in a proposed reorganization plan unveiled yesterday. The company said it has recovered enough assets to pay most of its creditors back in full. The U.S. court needs to approve the plan, which FTX says would resolve disputes with government and private stakeholders. The once flying high exchange imploded in November 2022, sending shockwaves through the crypto world after depositors raced to withdraw their cash. Its former CEO is now serving 25 years in prison for fraud, among other charges.

Coming up, Disneyland gets the green light to expand.
00:03:44
'Disney has cleared a major hurdle for a colossal expansion of its theme parks in California. Last night, the Anaheim City Council unanimously gave final approval to rezone much of the property, paving the way for a multi-decade project that will expand both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. A theme park consultant CNN spoke to says over the next 20 years, the project could allow Disneyland Resort to go from an estimated 25 to 40 million visits annually.
