![]() Corey Feldman, left, and Corey Haim in 2007. [Updated 2:18 p.m.] Corey Feldman’s publicist Stacy Hess issued a statement from Feldman on the death of his friend Corey Haim: "I was awakened at 8:30 this morning by my brother and sister knocking on my bedroom door. They informed me of the loss of my brother Corey Haim. My eyes weren't even open all the way when the tears started streaming down my face. I am so sorry for Corey, his mother Judy, his family, my family, all of our fans, and of course my son who I will have to find a way to explain this to when he gets home from school. "This is a tragic loss of a wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family, and best friend. We must all take this as a lesson in how we treat the people we share this world with while they are still here to make a difference. Please respect our families as we struggle and grieve through this difficult time. I hope the art Corey has left behind will be remembered as the passion of that for which he truly lived." [Updated 1:27 p.m.] Mark Heaslip, Corey Haim's agent, talked to HLN's Christi Paul about the child star's death, including that he was sick with flu-like symptoms Tuesday night. [Updated 9:43 a.m.] We now have a full story on Haim's death, including background on his previous battles with drugs. [Updated 8:51 a.m.] Haim, 38, was taken to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California, where he was pronounced dead at 2:15 a.m. PT (5:15 a.m. ET), Los Angeles County Coroner's spokeswoman Lt. Cheryl MacWillie told CNN. The hospital is a mile from Haim's apartment. Police Sgt. Frank Albarran told CNN the death appears to be accidental, possibly an overdose. Haim's most famous role was in the 1987 movie "The Lost Boys," in which he appeared with his frequent co-star, Corey Feldman. [Posted 8:40 a.m.] Actor Corey Haim, who appeared in a number of movies during the 1980s, died early Wednesday of a possible drug overdose, Los Angeles police said. |

I am very sorry for the loss of Corey Haim...he was a talented actor and will be missed...its just a shame he allowed the drugs to control him.
My heart is broken, he was my teen idol. I was so in love with him. RIP Corey!!
Very sad. He was a great actor and he will be missed.
Wow! Another shocker! WHat is the story with all these young actors?? RIP Gooney!!
wow...I completely saw that coming. To the other Corey...you tried man. He wouldn't listen.
So sad....he has struggled w/drug abuse for years. His pics were funny. Loved Lost Boys. God Bless his family who are left here to grieve.
R.I. P. Corey
very sad.....RIP
Sadly, no one can say they did not see this coming. Unfortunately, one has to wonder how long before Lohan is on a blurb like this one.
I think the first and most inportant question is, will he be mentioned at next years oscars?
Strange – - – Is there some sort of *drug* problem in Hollywood or something???
Poor kid could never shake that drug habit.
Yet another child star who couldn't handle adult life, got into drugs and the rest. as they say, is history. RIP.
No surprise here, I am surprised it took this long. This guy was a MESS! Leif Garrett should take notice, he is probably the next one.
Major sadness with this one. Loved the Coreys. Much love to Haim's family and to Corey Feldman. Dream a lil dream.
I still have your poster Corey. Sorry life was so hard for you.
You will be missed Mr. Haim but you're best work was definitely behind you
condolence..
why most american died in a drug over dose...?
RIP Corey!!!
Very sad but really no shock to see this happen.. I feel sad for his mom, whom you could see her love for on the two Cory's.
Sad but not shocking. Just wonder how many more deaths there will be like this when young people lose their fame and careers?
What a waste of another talented actor. You would think with all the money we throw at these folks that they would be able to afford the help they need.
While it's sad that Hollywood has lost yet another young actor, it's not a total shock. With all the substance troubles he had, sadly it was inevitable. His family is in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
Very sad, he seemed to struggle with his demons and everyone was routing for him. My prayers are with his family.
What movies? Don`t remember him.
No License to Drive 2?
what a shame...i hate drugs
He was on TMZ last week with other corey and the paparazzi asked him who he was. he was unrecognizable.
Too much fame much too soon. He along with so many other child actors peaked too early and could never quite get back into the game and the harsh reality eventually takes them out in this way.
RIP Corey Haim! May you find peace
It is sad but not unexpected. Drugs are known killers. That is why they are illeagal unless you have a prescription. Unfortunatly Corey was one of those that did not figure that out in time.
we will miss you Corey Haim.
Ooooh! NO, not again.
That and: you never see that 'herion thing' working out well for anyone. Like, yeah, I'll be the guy that can handle this, those other dead people had no idea what they were doing.
I am very saddened by this news. Corey was my teen idol!! My heart breaks for him that he could never get his life straightened out. R.I.P. Cutie
Sad to see someone who showed so much promise as a young actor have his life spiral out of control. Corey Feldman tried to help him but apparently he was beyond help and now has paid the ultimate price
Who'da thunk that this Corey would go first....
Where did he go wrong!!?? Just goes to show you that even with fame and fortune the decisions we make in life is the real treasure!
Sucks.
Bless his heart, he had a tough time.
I can't say that I am surprised but still feel it is a shame. He was the only celebrity I wrote to as a kid. I think I was 10. I remember how excited I was when I received an autograph picture. Hope you are no longer suffering Corey Haim.
So Sad. R.I.P.
This is so sad, but unfortunately not surprising. The only hope out of the current early deaths of young actors is that it encourages those with depression, and drug problems to seek help. Rest in Peace Cory Haim.
Unfortunate, but inevitable.
sad how we all watched the 2 Corey's and saw this coming...may he rest in peace
Sad....so very sad...Feldmen tried so hard to help him.... RIP
That stinks. Too Bad.
Wow I cant believe it, I was truly hoping that he was getting his life back together.. I fell just terrible.. I just loved him in Lost Boys,,, I am truly sadden by this terrible news. I will keep his family and friends in my prayers.
Sad. Another causality of drugs. All the signs were there that this guy was highly troubled. I guess no one could get to him. RIP.
Damn I grew up watching the Corey's in their movies. Even enjoyed their pseudo reality show when it was on. Going to miss that guy...
That's sad. RIP Corey.
RIP old friend, Your pain is now gone. My heart goes out to his family & Friends. God Bless
Death due to Hollywood.. It'll never end.
why does this not suprise me? a washed up has been actor with no real idea how to live in the real world who uses drugs to try to cope and over does that too. you cant blame hollywood. these kids are told they are great and people fawn all over them when they are on top and drop them when they are no longer "in". here's a thought- stop feeding their ego and teach them how to live when the "ride" ends. then we will not have headlines like this.
Just so sad.....I thought he was a good actor overall....especially loved him in Silver Bullet.
My prayers go out to his family and friends.
So sad but saw it coming and so did everyone else I believe. I have a couple of friends in the same position that he was in before he died and I don't know how to approach them about the situation. I know that if they don,t get help sooner than later then it could and will probably be them as well and I will blame myself for not trying to intervene when I knew I should. My family keeps telling me that they got themselves into their own situation and it is not my responsibility to try to help them get and stay clean, but I disagree. I think more people could be saved if someone would intervene sooner instead of not wanting to get involved in their problems. If somebody out their has gone through this situation or has an answer for me please!!! write me back anytime. Thanks.
Hi, John,
I wanted to tell you that it's entirely true what your family has told you. You can't help somebody that doesn't recognize they have a problem. Corey Haim had a lot of opportunity to get proper help. I think he was just doing so many drugs so for long that his heart couldn't take it. But, you're also right to try without ceaseing to be there for someone suffering from an addiction without enabling them further.
Always thought it would be Feldman.
RIP Corey.....who will be next? I thought Hollywood is full of rich and famous people whos dreams have fullfilled, why do they have to do drugs? I will never understand.
oh no
my thoughts go out to his family and friends
Dying from an overdose IS NOT an accident...it is irresponsible behavior and people who do this know that death is possible. It's sad nonetheless, but there was nothing accidental about it – it was stupid and he paid for it with his life.
I was so hoping he could pull it together, deal with his demons and at least enjoy his middle age. RIP
Sad. RIP
What a loss. Great actor, great guy just had problems like everyone else.
we"ll forever miss you.
I think im gonna go watch The Lost Boys for about 2 straight days now....
Another child star fallen. I loved him in "Lucas" too.
Hollywood takes another victim.
He was such a cute and talented kid. So sad how many young stars turn to drugs. Leif Garrett's another one on the edge.
Unfortunately this is not a surprize. corey had been battling addiction for many years. i am an 08's child, and this is very sad to see, but again, not at all a shock. god bless his family and the struggles they will have in the future.
Sad. Just sad.
I guess I shouldn't be too shocked by his death as most of his fans were well aware of his battles with the drug demons. So, SO sad that he's passed. We'll miss you, Corey!
Damn...I am a child of the 80's and grew up watching his movies. It is an unfortunate statemetn but I always thought it would be the other Corey who would "rather burn out than fade away".
RIP.
Its always tragic to see someone who had a bright future waste it away on drugs and come to an early end. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.
Nice memories of his movies from my childhood. Sometimes success can be a curse.
RIP Corey
RIP Corey. It is not a surprise that this would happen. So young, so much given and so little time to appreciate it. You grew up fast kid, too fast.
it is a shame that anyone should die of an overdose however their is help out there and people need to want that help more than they want to get high i am sure it is hard in california beings it is so acceptable there and over looked as a past time and casual rather than an addiction problem
Does this surprise antone? He has been a wreck for a long time!
Gee! What a tremendous loss to the world that is!
So... no more Corey and Corey? But in all seriousness this sucks and I send my condolences to his friends and family.
Another wild child dies too young. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
Gee. What a shok.
I can't believe he's gone !! He was the love of my life wen I was growing up !! I loved his cheeky smile , gonna b missed , R.I.P. Corey xxxx
What a shame. He had it made as a chld actor but never found his way as an adult except for a life of drugs. I watched the show, the Two Coreys and you had to know he would end up this way at some point. I am really sad for his family and for Corey Feldman, his best friend who tried hard to help him. RIP Corey.
This is so sad. He just couldn't pull it together. RIP
What a sad ending for a troubled man.
What a tragedy. I was just reading his website yesterday to see what he has been working on since leaving the reality show. I saw that he has 5 films in production and post-production. Just REALLY sad. If there was ever a candidate for the Dr. Drew intervention show...this was a guy who really needed it.
Im really sorry to read this. I used to love Corey Haim when I was a kid. Really sorry to see him go.
It's so sad! I grew up in the 80's and watched The Lost Boys a ton of times. He will be missed!
I really hope Feldman doesn't feel the need to preach about this. I've had about enough of him.
RIP... So sad, Another Celebrity taken by drugs. not a good trend.
Ah....sure hate to see another one go the stupid route. He was such a cute guy as a teenager, I had such a crush. Sadly though, can't say I'm surprised this happened, and didn't happen sooner. Have no idea if he had a wife or children, but thoughts and prayers to his family.
I always enjoyed the movie Lucas. RIP Corey.
Such a waste. So sorry to see him gone. Sad.
Never heard of him..
So sad – he was quite handsome and talented when he was young, but he threw it all away for drugs.
Your tortured soul will finally know peace. Rest in peace Corey.
so sad
What a loss, I was waiting for LOST BOYS 2
What a shame, to have everything and lose it all due to drugs. Its like the Japanese proverb first the the drink takes a drink, then the man takes a drink then the drink takes the man. Wonder though, if Mr. Haim will show up next year at the Oscars "in Memoriam"
Shocker!
This is so sad. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
I watched Haim and Feldman on their reality show and thought that Haim had cleaned up his act. He was a good actor and it's sad he's gone.
cant beleive that another great actor has lost his life to drugs. It's time for everyone to wake up and realize just how big of a problem this is..He will be missed
RIP Corey!
So sad...another Hollywood child star gone, left to rot and die cause there was no more use for them. How many more have to die before Hollywood starts to take care of its own?
This is becoming far too common. such a shame, but unfortunately not a great surprise, Cory has been troubled for a long time. another good kid dead because of drugs.
He was truly a Lost Boy...so sad, I watched the reality show and was always rooting for him to get back and get a good role and take care of himself better. May he rest in peace.
I had such the biggest crush on him when I was a kid. It is so sad when a life is wasted due to drugs and alcohol. May God watch over him and his family.
wow i loved this guy he knew his movies cory u will always b loved an missed r.i.p angle
IF it is concluded that Corey died of a possible drug overdose, it's not surprising. People who do drugs DIE!
Sorry to hear that...I liked his stuff. So if you overdose on drugs, how do they determine that it was accidental, and not suicide? Sorry if that question seems morbid, but my father in-law loaded up on booze and pills...then he hung himself in 2006.....what would that be called....an accidental stunt.?
Hi, Wayne,
My initial reaction was also that Corey Haim had committed suicide by mixing all of his prescription drugs that were meant to help him wean off of his addiction to pain killers. I'm so sorry about your father-in-law...I think you'r correct in thinking that depresson plays a big role (pardon he pun) in addiction and addictive personality types like Corey Haim admittedly was.
RIP. Another child star crashes and burns. So sad.
RIP Corey
Not a big surprise if you knew what he was going through
Yet another tragic way that Hollywood can eat you alive.
What a shame.............I really liked him as a actor......Could Friends and family done more to help him with his problem ? Everyone knew he had a drug problem and he would end up dead one day........Couldn't this have been prevented ? What a waste of a life....So young and he should of had 40 more years of it...I will miss him...........RIP
RIP Corey. Wasn't he present when River Phoenix OD'ed at the Viper Room years ago?
I am so sad about Corey! He was one of my fav heart throbs as a teen. Very talented. So sorry for his family. I will keep Corey and his family in my prayers.
Very sad.
This is what happens when you do drugs.
So so so sad!!! He was such a troubled soul, may he now find peace!!
RIP Corey!
Sorry to hear this... RIP Corey!!
Wow I can not believe he passed away what a loss, he was a great actor I have been watching him on tv since he was a child RIP
R.I.p corey.
RIP Corey. I wish his family and friends peace. Lost Boys is one of my all-time favorite movies. Such memories! Miss ya (I even watched Lost Boys II)
Another example that money and fame don't bring happiness.
My heart and my prayers go out to the Haim family. He will truly be missed
So sad...RIP Corey...Too Too sad. I thought he was pulling his life together..
This not surprising news, but it is very sad. I thought that he was getting his life back together. RIP
Sad...but not surprising!! Was hoping he would pull through on his battle. Unfortunately, I saw it coming on the last season on A&E's The Two Corey's. Sending prayers and thoughts to his family and those closest to him!!
Hollywood gives them the impression that they are elite, entitled. There lies the problem. They are offered and given more than they can handle, then it starts. Some one needs to step up and let them know the are not. they have a talent to use not to abuse!
Lost Boys? What about Lucas, where he had a staring role? Sad, he will be missed. An under rated actor who should have gone on to have a lucrative career.
RIP.....tragic but as someone stated befre...far from shocking. My prayers are with his family. Lost Boys was one of my fav movies too
Very sad. The circumstances suggest a troubled life. Perhaps another indication that money and fame are not what they appear to be, though I do certainly hope that he had plenty of happiness during his too short life.
A real shame. Rest in piece, Brother.
What a shame,
Corey Haim,
Who's to blame?
The cocaime!
R.I.P Corey.. you will be surely missed..
RIP Corey, I wish you a better life on the other side.
Sad. Should've accepted help.
Corey Haim was a mess. He was never going to get his act together and didn't want to. I feel sorry for his family, but at some point family has to say enough. Ever watched Intervention? They're enablers. Just like that girl who died in centreville, Virginia. Her parents knew she was doing heroin in her room. All her needles and stuff were all over her room. But the chose to blame someone else for her death when they, themselves, killed her by ignoring her heroin habit because rich kids don't do heroin. Corey Haim's family should have stepped up.
OMG! I am so sad to hear this. He was one of my favorite actors growing up. RIP
This is totally sad and I am not trivializing his death as drug addiction is a serious problem and I do hope his death is not in vain.
But, at least now I finally know which Cory is which...
Also, I am sure he had plenty of help and has ultimately failed in the worst way...
i grew up watching his great movies!
After watching The Two Coreys, I was afraid something like this would happen and am so terribly sorry that it did. My heart goes out to his mother and family and to Corey Feldman as well.
Goonies was more popular than lost boys.
Events like this will continue to happen is situations where there are no boundaries. Plenty of money and caught up in the drug scene. Very sad ending to what once was a promising career.
This will never end until law enforcement agencies and the American Medical Association crack down on all the prescription drugs that are being far too freely dispensed in Hollywood. There seems to be no control whatever of these substances. Let's decriminalize marijuana and focus instead on these pharmaceuticals.
So Sad. The "lost boy" is really lost this time. RIP!
This guy was a stud.... I feel for Mr. Feldman, first Michael now Corey, Whoa....
Not surprised at all (especially with the way he looks in the photo attached to this story). How many times do we have to feel sorry for actors who ordinary "Joe's" would love to be?? This guy has put his family and friends through hell with all his problems-I feel sorry for them most of all. Lives CAN be turned around (IE; Robert Downey Jr.)
SO Sad you will be Missed .....RIP Corey
Kinda surprised.....I thought it would be the other Corey
What a shame. When will people learn??? Drugs take them away too soon..... RIP Corey Haim. Thoughts go out to his family and friends. May he no longer feel his emotional pain and suffering... May he rest in peace.
There is nothing 'sad' about this. He was a troubled man who engaged in reckless and destructive behavior, abandoned by those who supposedly cared about him.
The fame game of Hollywood claims another victim.
Tragic to say the least. One of the BEST actors and personalities, of our time when the movies were still movies, not animations...He was a good soul, in a tragic situation. REST in PEACE Cory....Long live your memory
He was an actor with great potential... Hollywood has chewed him up and left him on the sidewalk...
My love to his friends and family
Wes from Belgium
WE are responsible and so is the media, and Hollywood, for pushing children to be 'actors' i.e. not themselves, when all they should be doing is being kids and developing their own identities rather than constanting being "on". How many can we count before we start connecting the dots and seeing our own selfish greed for entertainment as the root cause of all this?
It's so sad my sister told me the news this morning..My best friend and i were remembering corey haim in license to drive and lucas our prayers and thoughts are with the family.- rest in peace and you will be greatly missed! by us Dahlia Monica and roger
what a waste...
This is usually what happens to child stars. Children should be outside playing, not working 15 hour work days in Hollywood. May he finally rest in peace.
This is a really sad day. I was a HUGE fan of Corey. I still remember when I was very young living in a small town in IL going to see the movie Lucas. I was so excited because the movie was filmed in a town near my town. That is when I first noticed how good of an actor Croey Haim really was. Then came a string of awesome films by him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his familyand friends in this tough time. Corey you will never be forgotten. I will miss you dearly. R.I.P. my friend.
A good guy who happened to be an addict in Hollywood which is a deadly combo. Sad.
This is very sad news ... we are going to miss him.. he was a great actor... I love all of this movies.. "Lucas" was one of the best.. showed a lot of the problems the kids live in school.. how hard it is to fit in.. no matter how time goes by.. the story in the "Lucas" movie.. still is lived by most of our kids... It is sad ,.. to see how no one reach out to him.. in his depression... since the reality show.. we could see it. how he needed help.. and no one reach out to him.. We will miss him.... is sad to see one more gone.. Rest in Peace Corey.. to your Family our prayers. .. We'll miss you. Silvia
RIP Corey... you were truly a gift to hollywood.
Good night funny man.
You already knew the end to this sad story. He was a out of control train just waiting to wreck. He seemed sincere in trying to be clean but was not strong enough.
Such a terrible shame....... RIP Corey....
Once you reach the top, there's nowhere else to go. Pity.
I grew up watching the two Coreys and you always had a favorite, Haim was mine. I know he faced many demons over the years, but you can not deny the impact he had on the kids of the 80's. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. A very sad loss. Rest in peace.
Like so many other child stars dead why before there time IE Dana Michelle Plato
Unfortunate news. He had a rocky life, but still not the way to go. RIP Corey
I'm so sad to hear about this. I loved that guy & was hoping he'd pull through. RIP Corey, you'll be missed. :'(
Here I was hoping Corey Haim would have started sobering up after his stint with the Lost Boys 2. His demon days are over. Misunderstood and adored by many. Rest in peace Corey...
Going to watch a Haim movies all weekend now. Heres to remebering..
pathetic.. another loser throws away his God-given talent and good fortune by doing drugs.
r.i.p.
its truly sad when the only time we pay attention to drug addiction is when someone we think is relavant dies. some people just cant get it together.
Still a kid at 38. Tough luck but, as "Hollywod usual", self-inflicted.
I wanted to marry Mr. Haim one day. I watched he and Corey F's show a couple years back faithfully. Those two were my favs!! I have their movies and everything. RIP Corey Haim. Its been a long journey for you and you had such a hard time getting your fame back..so sad that drugs took you down that road...
xoxoxoxo. RIP
It's sad that he never really got his life turned around. I grew up a big fan of his movies. RIP
its so sad.. I'm gonna go rent Lost Boys and watch it right now.....
(not)
To. His Mom God Bless You!! You did what you could!!
RIP Corey.....You will not be forgotten.
Have a peaceful journey and we will see you on the other side.
So sad to hear about Corey. The Two Coreys were such a big part of the 80s. We'll miss him. My heart goes out to Corey Feldman. He tried to help his friend.
Corey personified the 80s for me and I am always filled with joy and nostalgia when I see one of his movies. He will leave with that legacy forever intact. Great talent, and he seemed like a decent person. I hope he has moved on to a better place.
RIP Corey, may God be with your family and friends
just goes to show with so many of the famous dying...money doesn't buy happiness and these stories make me even happier being me
So sad. He was my favorite goonie.
I am really sad to hear he has passed away. He was so cute and a great actor.
One of my favorite celebs. I loved watching him on The Two Coreys.
Sad you are gone Corey. Way to young.
Aw. I grew up watching his movies. Always very tragic when drugs take someone. RIP, Corey.
Wow! Really sorry to hear that Corey has passed. RIP. I loved his movies in the 80's . May God give hisfamily and friends comfort during this difficult time.
luv ya Corey!
This is so sad. I grew up watching him and feldman. RIP Corey
Knew Corey years ago, back around the time of "Murphy's Romance". We'd ride four wheelers around, pick up girls, bullshit, get into trouble, what not. Lost contact, but I later worked with other people who knew him. Weird day for me, and imagine everyone else who knew him way back when.
Hi, there listen are you still a struggling actor as I am? Interested in visiting Corey's gravesite and having a chat My e-mail is icarmeladestefano@yahoo.ca
I remember being young with posters of him on my wall. What a shame. My sympathies go out to his family and friends. RIP
While my condolences go out to his family, If the autopsy comes back with Overdose due to illegal drug use (prescription or otherwise), I am going to find it real hard to feel pity for this guy.
Nuff said about that...
I'm sure Corey Fieldman is Hurting this morning........
Does no one blame Corey for this. I see people blaming "Hollywood" whatever that really means. Others comment that the focus of the "war on drugs" is not aimed at the right things. Come on people. I guess this is sad but no one is to blame but the drug abuser in this case.
Such a sad ending... you are in a better place now, Corey. Rest in peace.
I wonder if Cory Feldman is next....Too bad he didn't "get it" in rehab. It's a shame.
inevitable – but still so sad. so many opportunities – but just couldn't wrestle with his demons.
Waste...and totally expected. This kid has been angry as hell and determined to kill himself for YEARS. I will never understand the Hollywood persona who have it all and have all the time and money in the world to fly high above us poor slugs on the ground who have to worry about bills and responsibilities. All they have to do is stay alive and a surprisingly high number of them cant even do that well.
This breaks my heart. I feel like he was a very good actor in everything he was in. Along with fast getawaqy, License to drive and The lost boys. Rest in peace. My prayers are with his family and friends. Love Shelby564
R.I.P Corey!!! I am sooo saddened by this news, Addiction is no joke, it is not like you can just turn it off and on, it is real, and very difficult to deal with. This really just breaks my heart because I always loved him and I too struggled with addiction so I truly know that pain well. What a waste, I wish he could have found peace while here, he needed God or an HP, I hope he had something in those last moments...I pray he is at peace now. I pray for his family and friends. A little piece of our 80's childhood just died.
I was so in love with him as a kid. Lucas was my favorite movie for years!!! RIP Corey.
So sad, but not unexpected. A good young actor who at one time had a very promising career. He'll be greatly missed by all of us who had hoped somehow that he would beat his addiction. May u rip Corey. My sincere sympathys to his family and closest friends.
R.I.P. so sad indeed. My prayers go out to his family and friends. Loved him in Lucas, License to Drive, and of course Lost Boys. Will never forget that crooked smile!
Rest in peace Corey, GOONIES forever!
Corey Feldmen tried to help him, he didnt want help...he wanted to wallow and this wasnt an accidental OD...anyone who saw "the Two Coreys" knows this was just an inevitable conclusion to Haim's life. We ALL make OUR OWN decisions, he could have taken the help that was offered, but he didn't want it...
So very sad!! RIP Corey!
The hollywood machine grinds up one more... very sad. Great actor with tons of potential. RIP
Such a promising young actor who had demons he couldn't escape.
Who didn't see this coming?
All in all this is a shame. Corey had dealt with this disease for much of his life. In the reality show you could tell he was screaming for help by his emotional roller coaster. I think he had depression issues as well. No matter whether it was an accident or not, people need look at the good things he did. RIP Corey, you will be missed.
Give me a break!! Drug abuse gets you jail time or an early death.
"Accidentlal Overdose" – - – is this classed this way because there wasn't a suicide note involved? R.I.P. Corey
RIP Corey.....who will be next? I thought Hollywood is full of rich and famous people whos dreams have fullfilled, why do they have to do drugs? I will never understand.
RIP Corey... You and your family are in my prayers...
He had the disease of addiction.. It is your choice to pick it up the first time, but then it is no longer a choice... There are thousands of people who suffer from this disease, some people find the help they need and spend their lives in recovery, others are not so lucky! Don't judge him unless you have walked a mile in his shoes, because then you wouldn't judge him!!
RIP Corey. So sad.
FYI – he was NOT in the Goonies. That was Feldman.
You people need to get a life
I had the biggest crush on him and it breaks my heart he chose the wrong path but hopefully now he is resting in Peace....will never forget you Corey my teen idol:)))))))))))
Today i lost a part of my childhood, I grew up with those actors, the Coreys were GREAT actors and best friends. My heart goes out to Corey Feldman and all of Corey haim's family anf friends!!!
Corey may God Bless You and give you peace now with yourself!!!
A Distraught Fan
This just sucks. I really enjoyed his movies, and "The Two Coreys". I watch Lost Boys at least once a year, and now I watch both Lost Boys and The Tribe, usually in the Fall near Halloween. He will be missed. I was hoping he would get his life back together and maybe get some work acting in new movies. RIP my friend.
So sad, he just couldn't kick his demon ... loved him in Lost Boys ... watched a couple of biographies/documentaries on him and how far down he had gone, and how he had 'pulled himself back up' but could still see that demon there, hoped he would be stronger than the demon ... what a shame and a waste. SO GLAD Robert Downey Jr. (my fave actor) was able to pull himself out of that hole and making magic again!
Truely a sad day. Not suprising but still very sad. RIP Corey
It's easier to survive adversity than it is to survive prosperity
This is not surprising but it is very sad. He was the cutest of the Coreys, I loved his crooked little smile and I guess the hope I held out that he would make a comeback just flew away. He just seemed like a super sweet guy but he could shake off that monkey on his back.
RIP Corey Haim, rest well.
I am stunned, and shocked as well as dissapointed that there has been such little report of this in the news. I too had hoped he would be a success again like Robert Downey, Jr. The media should have this out there more, just like all the other celeb deaths lately they have covered, and show Haim as the example of bad choices. I agree with mikiejo's posting it's time to keep pushing the message and slow down in life.
PS – Whomever he kept hidding as his rapist when he was 15 should be brought to justice, Corey Feldman knows who it is! I wonder how many other victims are out there? Now that's a story for the media to report.
wow brutal and sad, but cant say Im surpised R.I.P hope you now have some peace Corey.
Shawn
I am CRUSHED. I will now take the day off of my home health IT job, eat bon bons, foil my windows and celebrate his entire film career via DVD. No senseles....
I'm shocked. I'm a fan of Corey Haim and saddened hearing of his sudden passing. My deepest condolence to his love ones.
"School is that way, yonder" RIP
I am so sad. He meant so much to my generation. He was full of life and talent and I am deeply saddened that he turned to substance abuse. He is forever to me a Lost Boy.
It is very sad that he died. Any time someone dies its a sad feeling. However that does not give any one the right to judge a person based on there habbits. He was fighting his demons just like the rest of the world. He just lost the battle with his demons. Its unfortunate for his family and friends, especially his best friend Corey Feldman. My heart goes out to every one that loved him for who he was not what he did..... RIP>>> u live in our hearts<3
i lost my brother to a drug overdose and want all to remember that this is a sickness like cancer..it strikes every socio economic class, race and just because someone is rich and /or famous doesn't mean they are not susceptible to the sickness.. one must get help to get better.. RIP Corey...
I'm so sorry about your brother.I think losing Corey haim brings back other loses inour lives. You're right that addiction is just like any ther disease, like depression, that i believe corey HAIM SUFFERED FROM AND was not treated properly for, consequently turned to drugs for comfort. It's funny how after two months the spin is he wasn't doing street drugs but that the medications he was on to help lessen his addiction had an adverse effect. Hello! That's still drugs and clearly his heart couldn't take it. no matter how you look at it, he was clearly very distraught over not being asked to do The lost Boys 2..
Wow, I was rally surprised to hear this. It is important that we teach our children that drugs are not the answer to your problems at an early age. Heartbreaking
He was just on TMZ a few weeks ago with Corey Feldman and he looked fine. I was never a big Corey Haim fan, but for some reason this makes me very sad. He looked like a really good person.
He was also kind of funny in Crank 2. I thought his career would rebound now that he was older. I wish he had been more careful with his health.
The man was happy and at peace at home in Toronto, Canada. LA and the hollywood scene brought out the worst in him both as a child and adult. He should have stayed home after coming to Toronto to start over in 2000. RIP.
I agree with Mary! Things have gotten completely out of hand. RIP Cory, u were one of my favorites growing up....
As a kid, I had him plastered all over my walls. I would say I’m surprised but he’s had problems for so long but I’m still saddened. He’s too young. RIP Corey!
So many young adults dying just to get high. Very sad. The epidemic of altering our state of mind is sadest of all. What ever happened to just living life without being drugged? So many talented people with wasted lives–leaving behind people who cared and loved them, which was never enough. My heart breaks when I hear these reports.
I can tell you being a nurse for many years that drug over doses happen a lot i have seen many of them, how sad for his family they are the ones who have to endure the pain of losing him to drugs.
The pain is now over R.I.P.
I think something that's being overlooked here is the underlying reason(s) why Corey took drugs in the first place. Keep in mind that we have no idea what sort of torment, pain, anger or depression there was within him.......not to mention a myriad of other "personal demons" that he perhaps felt as though he couldn't share with anyone else. Was his overdose an act of desperation, where he was crying out to the world to help him – or was it an act of suicide, where he felt that he had dealt with the pain far too long? That's something that only Corey knew for certain. Whatever the case, we must try to not judge him for the bad decisions he made during his life, and remember him instead for being the good actor that he was. Rest in peace, Corey.......
omg i just couldnt beleive it when i read this online, i had a big crush on him when i was younger! i guess alot of us did though lol R.I.P. Corey
they die for the same reason homeless people, dr's. lawyers, factory workers and everyone in between die. ADDICTION.
Hollywood is just a place like any other when you are and addict. You have to get help and keep getting help, period.
This is the truest post yet. And sadly, for some, there is only one conclusion in the tangled mess of severe addiction: death. I know this. It happened to my husband. May Mr. Haim be at peace and may his family and friends find strength in these wonderful accolades.
Its ashame that people in Hollywood can't take a hint, drugs don't discriminate!!!! Your money can't save you and we all have to answer for what we do down here!!!!! May you rest in peace Corey!!!!!!!!!!!!1
RIP I'll never forget the cute kid from Lucas. How sad that his life was so tragic in the end.
Oh Corey, you poor troubled man. I was hoping things were getting better for you. I could tell you had some serious issues on your show The Two Coreys. Out of work child actor, drug problems, sexual abuse as a child. I know drugs may of masked the pain but it never takes care of the issue. I grew up with you & loved your movies & I was hoping you would make a comeback. Drugs got the better of you & I sorry you did not get the help you needed & you lost the battle.
Rest in Peace little brother, Rest in Peace.
This is so sad to see. Another in an endless list of Hollywood child actors who develop mental and emotional problems then turn to drugs or alcohol. Britney Spears, River Phoenix, Judy Garland, Danny Bonaduce, McAuley Caulkin....the list is almost endless. When will Hollywod and the media step up and take some responsibility. Clearly a young mind is not able to handle the stresses of fame. Knowing this, why isn't Hollywood required by law to drug test anyone on set under the age of 18 and the ban them from the set until they test clean? Why isn't Hollywood required to provide 1 year of psychological counselling in every contract signed with a child actor? While I respect privacy and freedoms for an adult, a child needs protection and support. This is yet another failure on the part of Hollywood and our government. Furthermore, there should be a ban on the media hounding children under 18. It should be illegal for the media to publish any paparazzi-style, un-authorized photos of anyone under 18. This is a terrible tragedy. Meanwhile the Hollywood execs will look for all the photo-ops to appear compassionate, then they go home to the mansions paid for by these dead child-actors. It's sickening.
Wow, I am in shock! My heart has dropped to the ground and what started out as a good day is now replaced by a hollow soul saddened once again with more loss in this world! I have to say I was upset by his behavior on the Corey and Corey show, but I was still rooting for him and secretly wished I was one of those girls he was dating that could have been a positive influence on him! He was sooo handsome and underneath it all had a sweet, caring, and free spirited"little" boy's soul that may now find rest. It was like he never grew up and became scarred by Hollywood and tried to find an escape. Drugs are never the answer. The hole in our souls will only be filled with the love from our Creator! God bless him, his family, his friends, and his fans with the peace that surpasses all understanding...
For those of you who want to throw their 2 cents in: "Death Due to Hollywood" and "Inevitable" and "Not surprised"...shame on you. Do you really feel so superior to a celebrity if they die, accidentally, on purpose or otherwise? How callous. For all we know, he dies of acetaminophen (Tylenol) overdose, lots of people do because it's hidden in all kinds of OTC meds. Maybe, like Brittany Murphy, he just had a defect that didn't allow him to survive a bad allergic reaction or maybe it's just his time. But for his friends and family who need comfort, your snarkey comments are just rude. Pray no one snarks at your funeral. Maybe they"ll say "Gee, he/she probably deserved it, after all that snarking they did, it is no wonder..."
What a pity for this man's family. Hollywood has created a perfect storm for this kind of thing. Even adult celebrities have a hard time dealing with the deadly combination of too much money, an overwhelming sense of self-entitlement and people around them who refuse to say "Hey, you're stepping over the line". Make a child contend with that and you have a recipe for almost sure disaster.
The price of fame is too steep.
May God rest his soul and comfort his family.
So sad, but not supprising!
Dream a Little Dream was always my favorite!
RIP Corey...Dream a Little Dream!
While it's always unfortunate to see someone throw their life away, I don't understand the pity for this young man. This is a kid who had the world at his feet but couldn't show the will power to live a better life afforded to him by his fans. There are people all over the world that are living a true nightmare (i.e. earthquake victims in Haiti and Chile, homeless, unemployed, war torn countries, etc...) but this guy couldn't handle the "pressures" of being a celebrity and turned to substance abuse? It really makes me sick that our population is so diluted that they feel sorry for these celebrities. Their demise is sad but preventable and completely in their own hands. Hate to sound heartless but I feel sorry for the family of four that is being evicted and can't afford to put food on the table due to the economic downturn or the thousands of people impacted in the previously mentioned areas. Not an celeb that made poor choices... Oh well, back to work at my modest wage job and do my best supporting my family.. cheers!
RIP young man. The brightest burn out the fastest. The Lost Boys is a movie that will always bring back fond memories of my youth. I can't run across it on TV and not watch it. Peace and blessings to your family. My God greet you with open arms and the peace you could not find here.
Being a child performer messes with kids so much, I wonder why there aren't some rules around it, like requiring schedules that don't burn kids out, time off, counseling, etc. Maybe there are and I just don't know it, but clearly something is wrong because these kids just keep getting into trouble either early or later in life. Just goes to show you that there's nothing wrong, and very much right about letting a kid be a normal kid when they're young. Makes me wonder which of the current crop of kid stars will be the next tabloid or Hollywood trash rag story. Very sad.
so Sad, HE was one of the coolest things about the 80's. First Micheal Jackson, now Corey whats next Madonna? What the hell is going on?
Pretty sad news for the two C's.... First Corey Feldman gets dumped by his wife and now this......I struggled with addiction and know how hard it can be to get clean and sober. I wish CH had what it took to fight and win the battle against addiction. This should be a lesson to all of us .........Like someone else here said, addiction is no joke.
wow..never saw that coming...: )
38, really? Wasn't it just yesterday he was like 10? He never outgrew his "baby-face". It saddens me that another "hollywood" star has died from drugs. I agree, this was not an accident. Anyone who "chooses" to do such things knows the risk that they take. When will people realize that drugs is not the answer. Too bad it is too late for Corey to ever find out. Condolences to his family and friends. RIP
Those that are being critical of Mr. Haim don't realize that addiction is a mental illness and extremely difficult to get out of. The statitics are that only 30% of drug addicts actually are able to get clean and stay clean...only 30%....so stop blaming the addict. I doubt that any drug addict enjoys being a drug addict, and most are so unhappy that they are addicts, but getting out is nowhere near easy. That's why only 30% make it....he was very unfortunate to have become a drug addict and end up this way. Addicts are very sad and lost individuals who cannot find a way out. I feel terrible for his family. However, he is in a better place now, his pains are now gone and he is free of his addiction.
now you can have the peace you looked for for so long.we will miis that beauitful smile
It is so sad that we have lost so many actors to drug problems lately. What is even more absurd is that once they fall due to alcohol and/or drugs, they get to attain fame again in a rehab program. What message are we really sending. Who's idea was considered when they thought this would be considered entertainment.
Why are people mentioning The Goonies? He wasn't in The Goonies, that was Sean Astin with Corey Feldman. Corey Haim was in Roomies. Aside from that, let's try to show a little compassion people, the man had a serious addiction. He blew his part in Lost Boys 2, something that meant the world to him, because he couldn't get through scenes. He got left being a voice because of his addiction. He couldn't just say I think I'll stop doing drugs because it's destructive. And unfortunately he didn't get help, or at least the right help, in time to save his life. As Dr. Drew (who was mentioned in an earlier post as someone Corey needed) has said, you can't MAKE the addict get help, in the end it's up to them. RIP Corey, the monkey is finally off of your back.
Astonishing how addicition takes hold of some people and they can never shake it. I have first hand experience with more than one person fighting this same battle. Depression is a major factor. Wish this could have turned out differently. I also was rooting for him to pul it together. However, after watching the Two Corey's it was obvious he was not being honest with himself or anyone around him. I hope there is peace now for his tormented soul.
oh my heart goes out too his family...& freind's.. and fan's,.. god rest his sooul~<3
RIP Corey! He will be missed by many. This is truly a sad day. I still remember my wall covered with his posters and the autographed pictures. Drug addiction is real and exists for many in our society. I have a sister who battles with her own drug addiction everyday. I send my condolensces to his family and friends who mourn this beautiful person, Corey Haim.
Bless his heart. Rest in peace, Corey...Lord knows you deserve the peace that you have been searching for all your young life. And yes, addiction is no joke! Whether it be prescription or street drugs...MAN MADE products are not meant for a God created body! Addiction of any sort is a form a "bondage" and does not allow you to focus on who you could possibly be!
Corey was a talented actor from such a young age – who unfortunately had to grow up too soon and was faced with adult challenges like drugs, sex, etc. I remember in the reality show that he disclosed he was molested for some time by a male who was either a manager or a movie-person that was around for some time. These deamons he carried with him were certainly the death of him.
I will never forget how he was a part of my life growing up – in the movies I watched, the tiger beat magazines I coveted, and my farfetched child hood dream of marrying him one day.May he rest in peace and no longer be in pain. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
while I am not of his genreation (older) and I really don't recall any of his movies or TV that he appeared in, I do send my condolences to his friends. The friends that tried to help him, tried to be there for him in his need. You did not fail him – he failed himself; his family failed him. Yes it is true we do not know the "exact" drug that took his life, but reading previous posts about is reality show, it seems clear that his drug of choice was most likely illegal. Why now is it everyone wants to jump on his bandwagon of fame – where we you when he needed you most? I have a hard time feeling sorry for the drug addicts when there are so many others out here fighting everyday problems such as no work, sickness, homelessness and so many other terrible things that would drive us down that road to addiction but WE ARE STRONGER THAN THAT!
RIP Mr. Haim.
You people making excuses for him are an embarrassment to the human species. "Oh oh addiction took hold of him" you make excuses blaming everything BUT the one person who had control of his life: HIM.
Addiction is easy to break, you just have to want to break it. That's why I detest all these "Lisa quit smoking in 16 weeks with Chantix and support" bullstuff, that's nothing but a company capitalizing off someone else's misery.
You want to quit smoking? Just quit. You have to decide you want to quit, though. You can't say "oh I want to quit, I'll get some patches and those will feed my addiction" blah blah blah that's not quitting or even wanting to quit. It's making an excuse.
Corey, we loved you... I thought you beat the drug thing... crying here... I wanted to meet you..Bless your family.. Love to You!!!
i watched him every chance i could get.. Loved all the 80s movies he was in.. He will soo be missed.. Rest In Peace Cory Haim..
This is soooooo horribly tragic. I'd been thinking about him all week, especially during the Oscars telecast when I began thinking 'What if Corey Haim's recent comeback spawned him an Academy Award in the future'? He had so much going for him! I've been preoccupied with how his life has been going since the two Coreys were cancelled on the air in 2008. He was on the right path!! I can't believe this is happening!! He and Feldman got back together and everything! Rest in peace, my sweet darling. This just goes to show all of us that we never know when our time is up for good. Many tears will be shed over this one.
Too bad fame and money doesn't equal happiness. Sometimes it seems like the opposite is true. He should of been in "Celebrity Rehab" instead of OD'ing.
RIP Corey, I am devastated that you left life so early. I was hoping you get better and life would become happier for you. I grew up with you and will miss seeing your cute smile and hearing your voice.
For those who condemn you for your addictions they do not truly understand addiction or depression. We should not judge if we do not understand. You did not deserve to die
RIP Cory, It is so sad to hear about his passing and even sadder that addition has taken him, There is help out there, just try and keep trying, you fall off the wagon pick yourself up again and try because after death there is no more trying.
i just would like to know how feldman feels about his best friend's death how is he taking it
COREY WAS VERY TALENTED AND HAD SO MUCH MORE TO ACCOMPLISH IN LIFE HE WILL BE MISSED MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS TO HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS
There's always consequences to bad behavior, You can't go on through life blaming others for your actions. He knew the dangers of drugs so shame on him for throwing his life away.
People were never meant to be worshiped, only to worship....
Thou Shall (not) Fall.......
R.I.P. Corey
My heart is broken, RIP Corey Haim. I had hope for him until the very end.
'Sunglasses at Night' was such a good song.
Let's all pray for Mr. Corey Heim and his family. Also my regards and condolences to Corey Feldman as well. This is very sad and tragic. Let's all remember him for the good things he accomplished in life and all the films we watched of him throughout the years. May he rest in peace.
My heart is saddened by the new of Corey Haim's death. He was one of my favorite tean idols I too had hope for him till the end. May he rest in peace.
It is a tragic loss. Cory Haim and Cory Feldman were my favorite actors growing up. I have missed both since there roles in Blockbuster movies seemed to drop off. I was even more upset when I learned of Cory Haims drug addiction. I guess I always assumed from their roles on the big screen it would have been the other way around. Feldman always seemed more the rebel. LOL (Sorry C.F.)
Please remember something though. I've heard many people blame Hollywood, the lifestyle and so on, but it is important to remember people make their own choices no matter how much we wish to vilify someone. Everyone has excuses, but there are no reasons. The same that is true for our Celebrity heroes is the same for the high school junior that is trying their weed for the first time as I type this. Learn from Cory's mistake... Walk away from it now!
Cory Haim, I will miss your acting and sorry the great return I always hoed for will never happen... Cory Feldman, I'm sorry for the loss of your brother, I know how that feels, and to the family of Haim, I am sorry for your loss and hope in time you can find acceptance, and peace despite your tragedy.
this is soooo sad ....such a lost we will never know
RIP Corey. He was a GREAT actor. I loved him in Lost Boys and was very upset when I found out he wasn't going to be in the sequel, but I am very upset now. Not a good couple of years for celebrities, but out of all the ones that died I think he and MJ are the only ones I ever really liked. RIP Corey Haim.
I really wish his life had turned out better. Although he is known for his role in the Lost Boys, I loved Corey Haim in the movie Lucas. If you haven't seen it you need to watch it. Rest in Peace Corey Haim.
He was such a cool dude when I was growing up. His movies were highly
anticipated by my sisters and girl cousins. Too bad he couldn't tap into all the love that people had for him and heal himself. I pray that his death will finally wake up Hollywood to the dangers of thier lifestyle to children. RIP Corey
Sad... very sad. Another young star that leaves us too soon. My heart goes out to his family especially his mother. God bless his soul and rest i peace Corey Haim.
sad...so sad! grew up watching his movies
goodbye Lost Boy...
i grew up with the two coreys.ilove them both very much.corey haim was a wonderful person.and iam so sorryfor his families.loss.he will be sadly missed.
rest in peace corey.youll me missed deeply.
i loved all his movies. andthe movies he did with corey feldman. they are both fantastic actors.i will never forget the times ive watched both coreys .ill never forget they will always be in my heart god bless his family and friends.
thank u corey for the memories. you were an 80s icon. im so sorry u lost the battle. its never easy when a demon is on ur back. u will be missed and ur memory will live on. everytime i think of being a kid in the 80s,i think of u. love always, heather
i am watching lost boys tonight
My prayers go out to Corey's family and friends at this sad time..Such a short life spent here on earth, may he find the comfort and peace within Gods Grace and loving hands..may he walk with God and suffer no more..Peace be with you..Gone but never forgotten..
So sad to hear this, I grew up watching his movies, crushing on him at the age of 10. To see this happen it's a shame, I hope that his demons are gone now and that he can really be at peace with himself. My prayers go out to his family and close friends.
Silver Bullet is one of my all time favorite movies with Corey Haim. It's based off of a Stephen King novel It's a really cool werewolf movie too.
think we should just have sympathy for him and his family & friends & respect his privacy
I.can't help but wonder how someone with so many friends could slip so far down without intervention. Even forced intervention might have saved his life. We will all miss ch.
i am so sickened by the news of Corey Haim's death. I loved him for years and really thought he was strong enough to pull through. Now all we can do is just keep his memories alive. R.I.P Corey! You are no longer suffering and in pain. Your in a better place now. We love you!
Unfortunately, Hollywood is very attractive to people who have these issues to begin with. I think Hollywood exacerbates the problem since famous people get whatever they want. It's very sad. Even when these people want help, the people around them are too busy saying yes to them, that there's really no one looking out for them.
RIP. I just hope he is not ignored in next year's Oscars Memorial Segment.
RIP
im very sad 2 hear about him passing away, my prayers go out 2 his family.
Rip. Sweet boy!!
I'd like to make a point about Corey Haim that I haven't heard anyone else make. He disclosed that he had been sexually absued as a child, yet he never abused anyone himself. That is further proof that abusers make excuses. Corey, I think, took drugs to mask the pain that he couldn't run from and didn't have the ability to confront. He was self-destructive, and I think because that's the only way he knew how to cope. It is so sad and tragic. May he now rest in peace!
My condolences to Corey's family and friends on his death. I grew up with him..he's actually only two years older than I am. And I had tons of posters of him on my wall back when I was a teen. I kept thinking about him over the years, and was hoping to see a comeback of him in films. I always thought he was funny and cute, and I just loved the way he smiled and laughed. I wish I had a chance to meet him maybe just to get an autograph. May God Bless Corey's soul on his passage way to heaven!!!
To Corey Feldman: You are an amazing friend to Corey Haim, not many people can say they have a friend like you and I know it helped him having someone like you in his life. You always seem to be there for him....Good luck to you in the future...
I forgot to mention in my previous email I watched all the episodes of The Two Corey's...I was really excited when it came out..I really missed seeing Corey Haim and Corey Feldman in film even if it was just a tv reality series...
It is a shame. I grew up watching and enjoying all his films. Even though his movies wer a while back. I still remember them like yesterday. His art will always be remembered.
I blame Hollywood! All they do is use people who can make them rich, and if you are a child star and become an adult, they abandon you if they can't make money off of you any more. Instead of appreciating his talent they tossed him away. I think he wouldn't even had those drug problems if Hollywood appreciated him like they should have and gave him more work. Hollywood Sucks!!!! Corey was a beautiful person. God Bless Corey In Heaven! He's in a better place than this money hungry world!
Poor Corey's heart was enlarged and he had fluid in his lungs, why didn't the Dr that had seen him that very same day hear that in his lungs? he should had been sent to the hospital! then maybe we would still have him here, i am just sick over this, he loved his family and friends dearly~ he will be forever missed God Love You Corey
Lisa Clark
WAKE UP HOLLYWOOD! Don't be the next actress/actor to loose your life over non-sense and unfortunate choices. Live your life to the fullest.
Chosing that kind of path will ruin a life!!! It is impossible to get back to normal unless SERIOUS professional help is involved when dealing with drugs.
ALways Remembered: Heath Ledger Brittney Murphy and now Corey Haim
I was in love with Haim, him and Feldman made the 80's the best with the Lost Boys and Licence to Drive and Dream a little Dream...how sad. It's just so tragic to see someone so young die from lets face it ...stress in Hollywood. I love you Haim R.I.P
Its a real shame that this young man who many people thought was on some kind of drug that you buy from the street but it was an over the counter drug that he had a bad reaction to and it caused his heart to stop working and that is what caused him to die not form some kind of overdose that everybody is posting on the web site and making it look like he was still hooked on drugs when he was actually clean and starting to get his career started back up again
I will miss Corey. I remember him form 1989 when he and Corey Feldman filmed "Dream a Little Dream" in Wilmington, NC. That is and always will be my favorite movie! Filmded at my hhigh school (New Hanover High School). RIP Corey. You deserve to be at peace. Your life sure wasn't peaceful!
So Sad that We are losing so my young stars, It saddens me to that this not just happening to celeberties but ordinary people as well. My Best friend lost he he sister 40 years old. 24 hours after the passing of Corey Heim. under similar circumstances. Why does this have to keep happening to young beautiful people.
RIP, Corey your struggle is over....God took his angel home! You have left me and all of your fans with awesome memories of you. Love ya Lucus
He was just like any of us. The only difference was that he was a child star that could not handle all of the fame and money. He then could not find work and that just made things worse. People that are depressed do this, it is a fact. Males in general. I am very sad that he could not seem to get his life on track, but if he did not want help then you can not help. They have to want the help in order to be helped. He was a great actor and a wonderful person, I just hope that everyone remembers him for who he was and what wonderful work he did instead of remembering him for this. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and his friends during this difficult time. Corey, I hope that you are finally at peace now, I hope that all of your pain is gone and I hope that you are finally happy and smiling that awesome smile of yours. May god be with you and you family and your friends. It is sad that Hollywood helps people to become addicts but can not or will not help them to over come what they have helped them become. If Hollywood would get their head our of their butt for a few minutes to look at how they treat people and what they make stars become then this would not be a problem. No holloywood did not force Corey to take the drugs but they sure as heck did not offer any help to him to help him get off of the drugs either. You could not pay me enough money to work in hollywood. COREY YOU WILL BE MISSED AND YOU ARE LOVED AND WERE LOVED MORE THAN YOU KNOW. GOD BLESS THE HAIM FAMILY !!!!!!!!!! YOU RAISED A WONDERFUL SON WHO BECAME A WONDERFUL ACTOR.
It breaks my heart to see him gone, so many talented actors are goin out this way.. But I will always remember him and that lopsided smile. I won't dwell on how he died but will celeebrate the life he lived.Sorry to see you gone , but i will see you in Heaven one day.
I'm I hearing that Cory Feldman is not going to the funeral, AND that the family is trying to raise money for the funeral AND a company that DID pay for the funeral services will use memorabilia as repayment?..........NOT trying to blame ANYONE, but seems to me that Feldman SHOULD'VE been there more, since he was his "brother"......at LEAST pick up the funeral expenses.
Unfortunately I as well as others who watched The Two Corys saw this coming. He was very troubled and it was noticable on the show.
I am so very sorry for Cory Feldman as he was his best friend and I know without seeing that he tried to help.
My Prayers are with Both his Mother, and Cory Feldman as this must be extremely hard on them.
Much love and prayers to you both
He saw this coming and had to know it was going to happen. Hate to hear it but if u know u have a problem and don't get help then I guess u got what's coming down the track.
